Alsey Refractories, a privately held company, has been manufacturing the United State's premier fireplace brick since 1906. Our fireplace brick are the choice of discerning masons, OEM's, and homeowners who demand a high quality firebrick. Our SMITHFIELD UNBRANDED fireplace brick is made from famous Missouri fireclay, and as a result, these bricks are highly regarded for their sharp edges and corners, a uniform light buff color, and superior refractory qualities. We also manufacture Alsey Air-Set Refractory Fireplace Mortar to accompany this brick.
Our Alsey mortar is highly preferred because of its consistent light buff color and ease of troweling and workability. Our fireplace mortar is available in convenient 1 gallon pails for small jobs and 3½ gallon pails for contractors. We also offer FLUE-SET, a non-water soluble mortar, designed to meet new stringent building codes for laying up flue tile. FLUE-SET is a great product to use in outdoor applications when laying up brick in BBQ pits and outdoor fireplaces.
